The poem I selected took me on a trip down memory lane because the content is very personal to me. The poem reminded me of the times when I went to the library as a young child. There were books everywhere and sometimes you could easily get lost between the aisles. I felt great joy almost every Sunday when my parents brought me to the library. There were so many amazing books to read with suspense, action, interesting characters, unknown places, and ideas for cool things to learn and do.
Each week, I was motivated to search for the next new set of books that would be even more exciting and captivating. It was often difficult because my parents would limit the number of books that I could check out of the library. I read many good books that increased my knowledge and contributed to my personal development and overall happiness. I learned important lessons about life in both the imaginary and real worlds that I found in books. This nostalgic journey led me to create this illustration from my childhood memory.
