We invite emerging and professional artists to participate in our annual call for art. For artists already on our mailing list, the call for artists to participate gets distributed in early September by postal mail and email. The 2026 poster series will revolve around the word "quarter" to celebrate the Poster Project's quarter-century. We're thinking of things that can be divided into quarters, like the year (seasons) or Syracuse itself (Northside, Southside, etc.). To "give quarter" is to demonstrate kindness or compassion. Most games in sports are divided into quarters. Time: what can be done in fifteen minutes? What was happening 25 years ago? What will happen 25 years from now? Can a poem tell a story that you could turn into a four-panel comic strip? What does the word "quarter" mean to you?
